Sourcegraph Pricing: What the Enterprise Plan Includes
This page is for teams comparing what Sourcegraph costs with what Symvanta costs. What the pricing page lists today
Sourcegraph sells one plan. The pricing page presents a single Enterprise plan and describes it as the platform for understanding and evolving large codebases, with Code Search, Deep Search, symbol search, code navigation, Batch Changes, Code Insights, Code monitoring, MCP server, API, and CLI access included (Sourcegraph pricing).
The commercial shape is quote-based:
- The page does not publish a per-seat price.
- The plan includes credits for AI features.
- The call to action routes buyers through sales.
The page lists single-tenant cloud and self-hosted deployment, enterprise administration and security, and 24x5 support with upgrade options. Credits are managed per organization: they are included per user, pooled across the organization, do not expire monthly, and purchased credit buckets roll over on renewal. Additional volume credit buckets are an add-on.
Two practical consequences follow. First, a budget estimate starts with a sales conversation. Second, AI feature usage is metered by credits, which makes expected agent usage part of the quote discussion.
Which older plans are historical
If you remember Sourcegraph as a product with a free tier and a low-cost per-seat subscription, those plans were discontinued. As of July 23, 2025:
- Cody Free and Cody Pro were discontinued.
- New signups on both plans stopped on June 25, 2025.
- The Enterprise Starter plan no longer includes Cody.
Those changes are documented in Sourcegraph's announcement, which also states that Cody Enterprise customers were not affected. Treat any per-seat Cody price you find in older articles as historical: it describes a plan that is no longer sold.
Cody itself continues as an enterprise product. The documentation lists Cody as supported on Sourcegraph Enterprise, available in VS Code, JetBrains, Visual Studio, and the web app (Cody docs).
How Symvanta prices
Symvanta publishes its prices on the pricing page and sells them self-serve:
- Starter, $19 per month: one seat, up to 5 repositories and 2 projects, every code-intelligence tool.
- Pro, $29 per seat per month: unlimited repositories, SSO, customer-managed encryption keys, priority support.
- Enterprise, $99 per seat per month: 15-seat minimum, on an annual contract, adding on-prem and self-hosting, SCIM, audit logs, and a dedicated SLA.
Every plan starts with a 7-day trial that needs no card. Starter and Pro bill monthly with no annual contract, and repository and project add-ons are listed at $3 and $5 per month. There is no credit system: a seat can query the graph as much as the work requires, so agent usage does not create a second, metered line item. Does Sourcegraph publish a per-seat price?
The pricing page lists one Enterprise plan with credits for AI features and routes buyers through Contact sales. It does not publish a per-seat rate. Per-seat Cody subscriptions existed in the past: Cody Free and Cody Pro were discontinued on July 23, 2025, and the Enterprise Starter plan no longer includes Cody (Sourcegraph's announcement).
How does Symvanta avoid a credit system?
Symvanta charges per seat, not per query. Starter is $19 a month for one seat, Pro is $29 per seat per month, and Enterprise is $99 per seat per month with a 15-seat minimum. Every plan includes the full tool set, so an agent can resolve symbols, trace callers, and check blast radius without a separate AI credit budget.
Which is cheaper for a small team?
For a small team, Symvanta is a published, monthly, per-seat cost: three Pro seats are $87 a month with a 7-day trial and no annual contract.
